About the Library and Media CentreLibrary and Media Centre has always been an integral part of any learning institution. Even in the advancement of today’s technology, the library’s role in propelling literacy remains the same. Its role in providing authentic and relevant information sources and designing research schemes is also evolving to respond proactively to the call of the time. A school library plays a very important function as catalyst for literacy and reading, support to the curriculum and to the teaching-learning process. In a school like Fairivew International School the library serves as a central point for engagement in the selection, acquisition and proper utilization of information sources, in the honing of young minds to become globally minded individuals by sufficing resources about community, social life and languages. The library also provides a venue for live academic inter-communication that supports students to be become knowledgeable and deep thinking individuals.
